William Edward Timmons, 91, Cadiz, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born September 2, 1916 in Cadiz, Ohio a son of the late F. Wellington and Mary Hoobler Timmons. He was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz and a Canasta Club; a former member of the Cadiz American Legion; a collector of coins, watches, clocks, and hats; a retried coal miner having worked at Consolidation Coal Company for over 30 years; and a veteran having served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his wife Hazel Virginia Mallernee Timmons in 2003; 2 sister: Lacey Somerville and Helen Ferguson; and 2 brothers: James and Samuel Timmons. He is survived by a son John Timmons and a daughter Carole Mariana both of Cadiz; 4 grandchildren: John (Lynn) Kernya, Jennifer Timmons, Benjamin and Joseph (Nadine) Kravetz and 4 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Friday, October 5, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.
