William B. Ossman, Jr., 79, Cadiz, died Friday, January 24 at Trinity West, Steuvbenville, Ohio. He was born September 5, 1923 in Wellsburg, West Virginia a son of the late William B. Ossman, Sr. and Ella Arimina Wilson Ossman. Bill was a member of the First Apostolic Church of God in Cadiz where he was a deacon and served on the church board. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Mingo Plant and a member of the USWA. Bill was prededed in death in addition to his parents by a grandson, Lucas Hendricks. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Frances Montgomery Ossman; 8 sons: William Ossman, III of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Ronald Ossman and wife Sandra of Greer, South Carolina, Douglas Ossman and wife Carol of Jewett, Russell Ossman and wife Barbara of Akron, Daniel Ossman and wife Sheree of Cadiz, John Ossman and wife Sylvia of Phoenix, David Ossman and wife Amy of Cadiz, and Scott Ossman and wife Katherine of Cadiz; 2 daughters: Linda Hendricks and husband Gary of Lakeland, Florida and Pam Ladd and husband John of Clermont, Florida; 2 brothers: Dwight Ossman and Robert Ossman both of Brooke County, West Virginia; a siser Esther Hoffman of Sterling Heights, Michigan; 21 grandchildrena and 14 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m., at the First Apostolic Church of God, Cadiz, with Rev. Harold Hoffman officiating. Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
