Virginia L Hreha

Virginia L. Hreha, 87, of Jewett, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2024, at Harrison Community Hospital. She was born on March 9, 1937, in Cadiz, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alvin Anderson “Mac” and Veda McCoy. 

She was a homemaker, always taking care of her home, children, grandchildren, and her great granddaughter. Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, shopping with her friends, getting her hair done, and traveling to Kentucky with friends. 

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Edward Hreha; two sons, Richard and Gary Hreha; daughter, Kathy Chaffin; brothers, James McCoy, Lawerence “Mac” McCoy; and an infant brother, Glen McCoy.

She is survived by her grandson, Gary Chaffin; great-granddaughter, Coralee (Dirk Harkins) Chaffin; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Hains and Arlene Teater; and many other family and friends. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5 at 2:30p.m. at Longview Cemetery in New Athens, Ohio with Pastor Michael Cunningham, Jr. officiating.
