Virginia H. Harrah, 89, of Cadiz, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born Dec. 23, 1917 in Cadiz Twp., Harrison Co., Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter A. And Mary Smith Holliday. She and her late husband, Clarence, owned and operated a crop and livestock farm in Green Twp. for over sixty years. She was a member of the Harrison County Farm Bureau and a former member of the former Green Local School Board. She was a member of the former United Presbyterian Church in Cadiz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harrah in 2003; seven brothers, Wayne, Frank, Robert, Walter and John, Eldred and Arthur Holliday; and a sister, Laura Hedges. Surviving are four sons, Fred (Mary Jane) Harrah of Hopedale, Robert (Sharon) Harrah, Carrollton, John (Cindy) Harrah and Joseph (Suzan) Harrah, both of Cadiz; six grandchildren: Wayne, Martha, Margaret, Becky, Virginia, and Matthew; three great grandchildren, Huston, Theodore and Nadia; and a sister, Helen Liggett of Port Charlotte, FL. Friends may call Thursday, 3-5 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.
