Virginia ''Jiggs'' Coleman, 86, of Cadiz, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. She was born January 23, 1919 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late William and Marie Johnson Bates. She was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz. She retired as a Cook from R. & F. Coal Company in Cadiz, and was an avid bowler in Cadiz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Maurice, Milton and Gail Bates; and two sisters, Geraldine Reppart and Maxine Crew. Surviving are two sons, Neil Coleman of Jefferson, OH and Terry Coleman of Cadiz; three daughters, Elaine Bonfini of Bellaire, Marilyn Fogle of Hopedale, and Dawna Ward of Port St. Lucie, FL; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one brother, Keith Bates of Moorefield; and two sisters, Audrey Glover of Cadiz and Patricia Starosciak of Adena. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with Rev. Meredith Coleman and Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.
