Viola Mills Davis, 98, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, January 25, 2011 at her home. She was born January 16, 1914 in Butler, PA, a daughter of the late Walter and Hattie Mills. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Cadiz. She loved cooking and attending church and praising her God. She also enjoyed attending the Apostolic Ohio District Council in Zanesville. Surviving are three sons, Raymond M. Davis, Jr. of Marietta, GA, Everett R. Davis, Cleveland and Calvin A. Davis of Cadiz; four daughters, Hattie Davis, Arloween Randle, and Louella Burks, all of Cleveland and Dolores Davis of Cadiz; and a sister, Rachel Dupree of Cleveland. a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Davis, Sr., three daughters, Genevieve Smith, Viola Davis and Korleen Freeman; a son, Leonard L. Davis; two granddaughters; and a number of brothers and sisters. Friends may call Sunday, 4-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at The First Apostolic Church of Cadiz with Rev. Ray Ellenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
