Verner McKibben, 72 , of Cadiz, died Thursday at his home. He was born May 21, 1931 in Harrison County, Ohio, a son of the late David E. and Bessie Stevens McKibben. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, the Harrison County Antique Tractor Club and a retired member of the Army Reserve 660th Transportation Unit after 32 years. He was a retired mechanic for the AMSA 109G in Valley Grove, WV, and a member of the Harrison County Farm Bureau, the National Wildlife Society and was a life member of the National Geographic Society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Emery Gene DeVault. Surviving are a sister, Nellie DeVault, a niece Patricia Thomas Kidd and her husband, Mark, all of Conover, NC; two grand nephews, Jonathan Kidd and his wife, Courtney of Hickory, NC and Gregory Kidd and his wife, Kim of Connelly Springs, NC; and five great grand nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio, where Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Evangelist David Gladwell and Rev.
