Velma Ross

Velma M. Ross, 81, of Cadiz, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville. She was born August 30, 1929 in Maynard, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alex and Anna Debola Yansens. Mrs. Ross was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz and was a retired Legal Secretary for Attorney Andrew Hutyera in Cadiz. She was a member of The Distaff and the Cadiz Band Parents. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fremo Ross in 2006; two brothers, Albert and Ernest Yansens; and a sister, Elizabeth Soos. Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Davia (Randy) of Cadiz; a son Michael Ross (Beth Kennedy) of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Jessica and Robbie Davia; a brother, George Yansen (Virginia) of Adrian, MI. Friends may call Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.
