Susan Wood Campbell Benton, 73, of Columbus, formerly of Cleveland and Cadiz, died September 15, 2009 in Columbus. She was the daughter of the late John S. and Margaret (McCool) Campbell. A graduate of Cadiz High School and The Ohio State University, Sue taught in the Berea, Rocky River and Fairview Park school systems. She married the late Charles K. (Chuck) Benton of Columbus in 1960 and lived most of her life in the Cleveland area. Upon Chuck�s death in 2006, she moved to Columbus to be near her only son, J.C. and his wife Katie, and her granddaughter, Kelly Elizabeth Benton. She is also survived by her brother, John S. (Stuart) Campbell and his wife, Ruth Ann of Rocky River, Ohio and their family. Sue had many interests, including history, reading, collecting stamps, coins, postcards and sports memorabilia, as well as following Ohio State Football and the Cleveland Indians. She was very proud of her church, Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington. A life-long teacher, at her request, her body was donated to Wright State University for medical research.
