Steven Barnhart

Steven Barnhart, 53, Cadiz, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 near Cadiz, the result of a motorcycle accident. Steve was born June 8, 1956 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of Betty Sowers Barnhart of Cadiz and the late Donald W. Barnhart. Barney, as he was called by his friends, was a member of the Sons of the Legion at the Cadiz American Legion Post #34, Cadiz Eagles Aerie #2162, a former employee of Dover Hydraulics, an avid outdoorsman and loved to garden. Barney is survived by his wife of 32 years, Audrey Davis Barnhart; 2 sons: Steven and Josh both of Cadiz; a daughter, Jessica Barnhart and her fiancé Dusty Carpenter of Cadiz; 3 grandchildren: Blake, Landon and Ethan; a brother, Scott Barnhart and his wife Kelsi of Tappan Lake; 2 sisters: Debbie Goodrich and her husband Justin of Cadiz and Donna Dial and her husband Jeff of Lancaster; a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 154 West Market Street, Cadiz, where calling hours will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Steven Barnhart Memorial Fund, c/o National City Bank, 235 South Main Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
