Samuel Alvin Thompson, 96, of Cadiz, formerly of the East Liverpool and Lisbon area, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born November 4, 1907 in Cadiz, a son of the late Alvin A. And Bylie Rayl Thompson. He was a retired Mill Right Boss at D. & T. Brooks Co. in Beaver Falls, PA; was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Mill Right Union. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Post Thompson, and by a number of brothers and sisters. Surviving are four sons, Samuel B. of Salineville, OH, William G. of Glenmoore, OH, Russell Alvin of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and Howard Lester of Hamilton, OH; two daughters, Bernice Faye Thompson and Cheryl Kent, both of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday, 6-8 and Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Sturm officiating.
