Ruth Thompson

Ruth Anne Huston Solvey Thompson, 70, Cadiz, died Friday, November 8, at her home in Cadiz. She was born June 15, 1932, in Navarre, Ohio a daughter of the late Julius and Mary F. McMullen Huston. Ruth Anne was a homemaker and a member of the East Warren Street Church of Christ, Cadiz. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband, Howard A. ''Pete'' Thompson; a son, Howard A. Thompson, II; a daughter, Cheryl Solvey; and a brother, Grant Huston. She is survived by two sons: Roger and Richard Solvey both of Cadiz; 3 daughters: Helen Troy of Cadiz, Kate Solvey of Bucyrus, and Mardi Ewards of North Canton; a stepdaughter Donna Houze of Cadiz; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister Ila Malatesta of Minerva and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Sunday, November 10, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Evang. Brian Reardon officiating. Burial follows at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. 274, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
