Ruth May Richards, 87, of Niceville, FL, formerly of Cadiz, died May 23, 2009 at her home. She was born April 24, 1922 in Bannock, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret McKnight. Ruth was a Christian of the Methodist faith and was an industrious homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, the stock market, crossword puzzles, and was a doll collector. Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister. She was a beautiful woman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Kingsland Richards in 1981; two brothers, Jerry and Warren McKnight and eight half-brothers and half-sisters. Surviving are a son, Neil Kingsland Richards and his wife, Penny Arvidson Richards of Kingsport, TN; a grandson, Cameron Kingsland Richards of Kingsport; a granddaughter, Carolyn of Georgia; two great granddaughters, Keyana and Michaela Richards of Georgia; two brothers, John (Claire) McKnight of Yorkville, OH and Harry McKnight (Ann) of Beaver Falls, PA; two sisters-in-law, Gladys and Rose McKnight of Ohio; a special niece, Kathy Jo Cummins of Charlotte, NC; two special nephews, Dr. Tom McKnight and Christopher McKnight, both of Ligonier, PA Friends may call Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.
