Ronald E. Jenkins

Ronald E. “Farmer” Jenkins, 70, of Cadiz, OH, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 15, 1954 a son of the late Donald E. and Ruth A. Springer Jenkins.

Ron retired from Hopedale Mining, drove truck for many years before that, but his one true love was farming. He loved to be on the farm every day and raising his animals. If it was racing season, you could find Ron at PMS Racetrack on Saturday nights with his family. Ron was a true gentleman and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by his wife, Charlene Kay Boyer Jenkins; a son, Shawn Michael Jenkins; and a brother, Raymond Jenkins.

Surviving are his son, Ronald (Azurede) Jenkins of Carrollton; 2 daughters: Amy Jenkins and Amanda (Jeffery) Howard both of Hopedale; grandchildren: Haley, Alexis (Korrs) Derek, and Hayden; several great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Ralph (Christine) Jenkins of Leesville, Robert (Tammy) Jenkins of Cadiz, and Rodney (Lisa) Jenkins of Richmond; sister, Donna (John) Bishop of Hopedale; a sister in law, Paula Jenkins of Richmond; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1-4 and again Monday from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz with Dorman Mader officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.
