Robert Liggett

Robert E. Liggett, 80, Cadiz, Ohio died Wednesday June 13, at his home. He was born January 31, 1921 in Hopedale, Ohio a son of the late Albert and Vesta Liggett Liggett. He was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz and was a retired Dragline operator for the Bedway and Cravat Coal Companies both of Cadiz. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathryn Wilden Ligget in 1993; a son, Robert E., Jr.; 6 Brothers: Don, Roy, Carl, LeMoyne, Bill, and Ross Liggett; and a sister, Jo Ann Liggett. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Cindy) Snyder of Hopedale, Ohio; a son, Edward Robert Ligget and his wife Michelle, of Hopdedale, Ohio; 6 Grandchildren: Marissa Paolucci; Michol, Chad, and Miranda Snyder; and Nash and Jessica Liggett. A sister, Pearl Mader of Carrollton, Ohio. Calling hours are Friday, June 15, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 South Main Street, Cadiz where services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating. Burial follows in Greenwood Cemetery near Hopedale, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 380 Summitt Avenue, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
