Robert Gene Harubin

Robert Gene “Bob” Harubin, 69, of Cadiz, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 the Cleveland Clinic with his family by his side. He was born August 22, 1954 in Wheeling, West Virginia a son of the late Walter Pete and Elizabeth Jean Gray Harubin.

Upon graduating high school, Bob worked for the same company for the entirety of his career as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns Fan. He enjoyed drag racing with his brother, Pete. Bob enjoyed vacationing with his family and spending time with his best friend & wife, Johnny. He enjoyed retirement, spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all he was a dedicated husband, father and proud Papaw.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded by his brother, Pete Harubin.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Johnetta “Johnny” Myer Harubin; daughters, Kelly (Josh) Baker of Colerain and Kristy (Andy) Bowens of Commercial Point; grandchildren: Analise Baker, Jaxson Baker, Brady Bowens, Brantley Bowens and Maddox Bowens; brother, Barry Harubin of Adena; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 8, 2023 from 3-7 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 139 North Main Street, Cadiz with Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
