Robert E. Harmon, Sr.

Robert E. Harmon, Sr. 86, of Cadiz passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville with his wife Beverly by his side. He was born May 12, 1938, in Scio, Ohio, a son of the late Orton and Clara Huebner Harmon.

During his working career, Bob worked on the oil rigs in the oil fields. He also enjoyed roller skating, fishing, hunting, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers! He was a member of the First Church of God in Cadiz. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Robbie” Harmon, Jr.; brothers, Kenneth and Alvin Harmon; and a sister, Eunice Seevers. 

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Beverly Blake Harmon of Cadiz; his daughter, Robbyn (Tim) Smith of Nappanee, Indiana; grandchildren, Christopher Smith of Beaverton, Oregon, Lindsay (Travis) Stanifer of Avon, Indiana, and Nicholas (Hailey) Smith of Nappanee, Indiana; 3 great-granddaughters, Sophia, Olivia and Delaney Stanifer; a sister, Virginia Pounds of Mansfield, Ohio; his beloved dog, Ricky; and many nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at the First Church of God, 227 West Warren Street, Cadiz with Rev. Jessica Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the First Church of God, Cadiz, 227 West Warren Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
