Richard Walker

Richard "Rick" Walker, 68, of Hopedale, died Sunday at his home. He was born February 16, 1944, a son of late Orville and Irene Roth Walker. Rick was a member and Elder at the Hopedale Church of Christ. He retired from Weirton Steel Corp., and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Surviving are his wife, Debbie Writesel Walker; his children, Shane (Rady) Walker and Wendy (Michael) Lewis, all of Cadiz and Nadine (Jeff) Lyons of Tennessee; step-children, Gary (Tammy) Grim of Piney Fork, Becky Grim of Bridgeport, Missy Blake of Hopedale and Karla Devernoe of Cadiz; four grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren; brothers, Loren (Carol) Walker of Columbus, Bill Walker of Akron, Jim (Carolyn) Walker of New York, Alan (the late Trava) Walker of Cadiz, Lanny Walker of Cadiz and the late Chuck (Toots) Walker; in-laws, Bonnie (the late Dave) Gregory, Atlanta, Cindy (Rick) Atkins, Donald (Bev) Writesel and Kim (Tom) Carothers, all of Hopedale; and a special niece, Kacey Carothers. Friends may call Tuesday, 5-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Dean Blythe officiating.
