Richard L. Glessner, 56, Cadiz, died Saturday, January 25 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born January 17, 1947 in Wheeling, West Virginia a son of Gertrude Neville Glessner of Morristown, Ohio a the late William Glessner. Rich was a disabled career Army veteran having served during the Viet Nam era and a handyman in the Cadiz area. He was a former member of Cadiz American Legion Post 34 and Cadiz FOE Aeire 2162. He was prececed in death in addition to his father, by a brother, Edward Glessner. Surviving in additon to his mother, is his wife, Barbara L. Buxton Glessner of Cadiz; 3 daughters: Annette (James) Brown of Akron, Tami (Joseph) Strother of Cadiz, and Lora (Charles) Brown of Jewett; 4 grandchildren: Ray Michael Ramsey, Anthony Paul Strother, Sadie Marie Brown, and Madeline Elizabeth Brown; 2 sisters: Patricia Glessner of Morristown and Charlotte Glessner of Flushing. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 28, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Wednesday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rodney Bowers officiating. Private interment at the convenience of the family.
