Phyllis Zitko

Phyllis (JoAnn) Zitko, 83, of Cadiz, OH, fell asleep in the Lord on December 15, 2013 at Harrison Community Hospital. JoAnn was born October 29, 1930 in Harrison County, OH, daughter of the late Philip and Virginia Moreland Porter. She was a 1948 graduate of Scio High School. An active member of The Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, she lived her life humbly serving God, her family and others. Her passions included dancing, especially square dancing, music, baking, cooking and taking care of her family. She followed the Lord's calling and was a gentle leader and model guiding her family in ways to love and serve others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ted of Cadiz, daughter Diana (Ted) Lairson of Perrysville, son Bill (Jan) of Hopedale, son Phil (Pat) of Shelby, OH; 8 grandchildren, various nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday, 2-4 and 5-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, OH. Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 154 W.
