Patricia Ann Tronsgard, 92, of Scio, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Harrison County Home. She was born November 9, 1931, in San Diego, California, the daughter of the late Alex Joseph and Rosalie Ann (née Zorman) Straczynski.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, David Thomas Tronsgard on May 19, 2017.
She was a graduate of Grossmont High School in El Cajon, California (where she met her future husband) and of the University of Colorado (BA Sociology).
She supported her husband in his career as an educator in the United States, India and England. Later she was a hotelier with David in Torremolinos, Spain. Upon their return to the United States, she was the office manager at her husband’s psychological practice and help to run a successful antique business.
She was an avid reader of literary fiction and especially enjoyed travel, especially to Denmark, Turkey and throughout Spain.
She was a longtime member of the Scio United Methodist Church and of the Altruian club.
Surviving her are children Mark Brian Tronsgard of Cleveland, Lauren (Karen) Tronsgard-Scott of Vermont and Bradley Tronsgard of Scio and grandchildren Domenic, Brandon, Elliot, Michael, David, Daniel and Hanna.
In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service is to be held in Vermont. Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz has been entrusted with her arrangements.
