Oyd C. Cooper, Jr., 69, Hopedale, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born July 25, 1941 in Cooperstown, West Virginia a son of the late Oyd C. Cooper, Sr. and Geraldine Webb. He was a member of the Hopedale American Legion and V.F.W.. He was a retired employee of GTE in Cadiz, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kennedy Cooper; 2 sons: Anthony Cooper of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Marc Cooper of Akron, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Leslie Davis of Germany; 5 grandchildren; and a brother Danny Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Hopedale Cemetery with Jim Woods officiating. The Hopedale American Legion will be providing Military Graveside Honors.
