Oliver Freeman

Oliver Norris Freeman, 56, of Steubenville, formerly of Cadiz, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville. He was born December 25, 1955 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of Ross "Elwood" Freeman of Sidney, OH and the late Delphine Freeman. Oliver was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in the carpentry and construction industries, and as a house painter. Surviving, in addition to his father, are two sons, David Freeman of Cadiz and Lydell Freeman of Wintersville; a daughter, Sheena Freeman of Euclid, OH; two grandchildren, Dominique and Jesse; seven brothers, James Freeman of Evansville, IN, Edward Freeman of MI, Everett Freeman of Sidney, Phillip Freeman of Cincinnati, Kevin Freeman of Cadiz, Sam Freeman of Steubenville and Thomas Freeman of Sidney; three sisters, Janet Golsby of Cadiz, Phyllis Jackson of Sidney, Clara Freeman of Steubenville and Kendra Murray of Uhrichsville. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James AME Church with Rev. Charles Simpson officiating. Friends may call at the church on hour prior.
