Nellie Evans, 83, Cadiz, died Saturday, March 30 at Trinity Medcial Center, West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born August 10, 1918 at Braxton County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Willis and Mary Green Stalnaker. She was a housewife and a member of the Rose Hill United Methodist Church, Nicholas County, West Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra W. ''Dick'' Evans; four brothers; two sisters; and a grandson; she was the last surviving member of her family. Surviving are three sons: Arden Evans, William E. Evans, and Noel Evans, all of Cadiz; five daughters: Mrs. William (Mildred) Fisher, Mannington, W. Va., Mrs. Donald (Toots) Ashcraft, Cadiz; Mrs. Gene (Dale) Stire, Shinnston, W. Va., Mrs. Eddie (Molly) Sandy, Enterprise, W. Va., Mrs. Larry (Wanda) Dickerson, Cadiz; 17 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday, April 1, from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 South Main Street, Cadiz. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 2 p.m. with burial following at Enterprise IOOF Cemetery, Enterprise, W. Va. with Rev. Ernest Creamer officiating.
