Nancy Mickey

Nancy Kelly Heil Mickey, 54, of Hopedale, OH, formerly of Weirton, WV and Roanoke, VA, died Friday at her home. She was born November 24, 1955 in Weirton, a daughter of the late Bernard V. Kelly, Sr. and Eleanor Marie Baier Kelly. Nancy was a former Director for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Jefferson Co., a fundraiser at the Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, VA and for the United Way of Huntington, WV. She was the fundraiser and campaign coordinator for Center in the Square in Roanoke, VA. She worked on the US 22 Connector Committee in Harrison County, OH. Nancy spent the past four summers promoting Bluegrass In The Hills and other projects for the Harrison County Dept. of Tourism. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Mark Heil. Surviving are her husband, Calvin Mickey; two daughters, Angela (Benjamin) Gogol and Sarah (Patrick) O'Brien, both of Williamsburg, VA; two grandchildren, Dillon and Elaina Gogol; two step-sons, Bryan Mickey of Hopedale and William (Lori) Mickey of Damascus, OH; three step-grandchildren, Austin, Campbell and Samantha Mickey; three brothers, James Kelly of FL, Bernard (Cherie) Kelly, Jr. and Danny (Denise) Kelly, both of Follansbee, WV; and a sister, Ruth (Robert) Gianni of Weirton, WV. Friends may call Monday from 3-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 143 E. South St., Cadiz, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Timothy McGuire and Rev. Ted Whittaker officiating.
