Mildred R. Cessna, 90, of Cadiz, died Thurday, June 7, 2001 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. She was born in Cadiz on September 19, 1910, a daughter of the late J. Gordon and Mary Dunlap Rogers. She retired after 26 years of serving Harrison County as its Deputy Recorder and working in the Probate and Juvenile Courts She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church; was the Past Worthy Matron of Unionport Chapter 360, Order of the Eastern Star; Past President of the Cadiz Women's Club; was a former member of the Cadiz Business and Professional Women's Club and the Moravian Trail Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; and was the State Champion of the Women's Rifle Team. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Cessna and by a brother, Raymond Rogers. Surviving are her son and his wife, John W. and Kay R. Cessna of Glenview, IL; 3 granddaughters, Terri Cessna of Evergreen, CO, Mrs. John (Tracy) Cook of Richmond, TX, and Barbara Cessna of Northbrook, IL; a great grandson, Matthew Cook; 2 step grandsons, Andrew Rhodes of Noblesville, IN and Todd Rhodes of Austrailia. Friends may call Monday, June 11, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. An Eastern Star Service will be held Monday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
