Michael W. Slaga, 62, Harrisville, Ohio died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Sienna Point Nursing Home, Adena, Ohio. He was born January 10, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of the late Walter and Mary Zurek Slaga. He was a former employee of Saginaw Mine for 29 years, Four Seasons Garden Center for 14 years, a member of the UMWA and Harrisville V.F.D., and Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by his wife Constance L. Bomboris Slaga in 1979. Mike is survived by 2 sons: Michael (Teresa) Slaga of Harrisville and Jeff (Billie Jo) Slaga of Townville, Pennsylvania; a stepdaughter, Terra O�Hara of Newark; 7 grandchildren: Michael, Corey, Dillon, Angel, Jacob, Britany, and Shelby; 1 great grandchild: Kyra; a brother, Andrew (Rose Mary) Slaga of Columbus; 3 sisters: Mary Ann Schaffer of Panama City, Florida, Carolyn (David) Saksa of Harrisville, and Sophie (Steve) Goodwin of Port Charlotte, Florida; and his companion of 20 years, Beverly O�Hara of Harrisville, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m with Mgsr. John Kolesar officiating.
