Mary Elizabeth Wallace, 79, of the Harrison County Home, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at the Harrison County Home, Cadiz. She was born October 13, 1924 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward Hayes and Florence Vera Rogers. She is the retired Administrator of the Harrison County Home, a member of the Asbury Chapel United Methodist Church and its Women's Society of Christian Service, the Cadiz Business and Professional Women's Club, and the Ohio County Home Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dean Wallace in 1986; a daughter Carol Wallace; and a sister, Myrna Hall. Surviving are two sons, William and his wife, Kathleen Wallace of Dennison, and John and his wife, Diana Wallace of New Bloomington, Ohio; two daughters, Joy and her husband, Dean Taggart of Cadiz, and Kay and her husband, Joseph Parkinson of Carmi, IL; eight grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Norris of Cadiz, and Lois and her husband, Laban Blackburn of Hopedale. Friends may call Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Malterer officiating.
