Mary Elizabeth Shannon, 77, of Cadiz, passed away on January 27, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 21, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Thomas & Mary Banco Trainor.
Mary grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia. In her later years, she worked as a paralegal, and then she started and ran the Premiere Title Office in Cadiz, where she helped train others who carry on her knowledge in their career to this day. After growing up in the city, she enjoyed living in the countryside with her husband, Thomas. There she was able to lean into her hobbies of reading and bird watching, and once she convinced Tom to get one, relaxing in their pool. She loved her family, and was a proud wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a son, Craig Keadle; daughter, Angel Fisk, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Keadle.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Shannon; children, John (Jennifer) Keadle, Brian Keadle, James (Michelle) Shannon, and Patricia (Chris) Hupp; grandchildren, Travis Keadle, Jessica Keadle, Karen Wheeler, Craig Keadle, Baylee Shannon, Eris Shannon, Xavier Campbell, Nick Greenwood, and Aschten Fisk, Austin Robbins, Alex Robbins and Allison Robbins; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Littleton, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service and burial at Cadiz Union Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz.
