Mary Fowler

Mary Habash Rago Fowler, 87, Cadiz, formerly of Hopedale and Jewett, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Harrison County Home after a long illness and valiant struggle with Alzheimers Disease. She was born September 22, 1922 in Colliers, WV the only daughter of the late Joseph and Marjia Sabeich Lucich. Mary was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her younger brother, Albert Lucich, who was killed in action during WW II; husband James Rago, 3 sons: Vince and Mark Rago and Joseph Habash; 3 grandsons, Todd, David and Joey Habash; son-in-law, Elmer Negley, daughters-in-law, Marjorie Habash and Rita Habash and former husbands, Anthony Habash and Benjamin Fowler. Mary was retired homemaker, housekeeper and caregiver who greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening and spending lots of time growing her flowers and herbs. She especially loved taking time to enjoy her family and friends. She a member of the Hopedale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the AARP, and a former member of the Cadiz FOE, Aerie #2162. She was a Catholic by faith. Surviving are 3 sons: Anthony "Butch" Habash of Cadiz, Albert Habash of Toronto, and Mason Fowler of Hopedale; a daughter, Mary Ann "Toots" Negley of Thomasville, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren: Darla Habash McGaugh, Dee Habash, Ann Negley Stacy, Sheila Negley Courtney, A.J. Negley, Jimmy Habash, Charlie Rago, Brandon and Page Fowler; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Rose Rago of Piney Fork, OH. Friends may call Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Timothy McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio. A vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com
