Marvin A. Houze, 90, Sebring, Florida, formerly of Cadiz, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 in Sebring, Florida. He was born October 2, 1913 in Carroll County, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Alice Rinehart Houze. He was a retired farmer and Harrison County Treasurer. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Sebring; a member of Harrison Lodge #219, F.&A.M. where he served as past master; Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville; Harrison Chapter # 353 Order of the Eastern Star; Royal Arch Masons; Harrison County Farm Bureau; and Harrison County Grange. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Hines Houze in 1982; and a sister, Bernice Miller. He is survived by 2 daughters: Marlene Swope, 1454 San Clemente Ct., The Villages, FL 32159 and Nancy Shephard, 1354 Augustine Dr., The Villages, FL 32159; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie Stoolmaker, Jennifer Crouse, and John Swope; and 4 great grandchildren: Emma, Jackson, Sara, and Eliza. Calling hours are Monday, August 30 from 12:00 until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Terry Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
