Marilyn Maroni

Marilyn Marie Maroni, 73, Cadiz, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at her home. She was born June 4, 1935 in Scio, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Twigg McDevitt. Marilyn was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz; a retired employee of National City Bank; a past member of the Methodist Women, Harrison County Democratic Womens Club, and the Cansasta Card Club. Marilyn devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandma, and sister. Nothing meant more to Marilyn then time spent with her family and her silky terrier Scruffy. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 56 years Russell H. Maroni; her children: Debra (Gary) Bower of Garland, Texas, Cindy (Joe) Gralewski of Pittsburgh, Pa.., Russell (Jackie) Maroni of Kimbolton, Ohio, Chuck Maroni of Wheeling, W. Va., and Charlie (T.J.) Edwards of Piedmont, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister Evelyn Giacobbi of Cadiz; brother, Tom (Lupe) McDevitt of Simi Valley, California; and her companion dog Scruffy. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Scott United Methodist Church, 817 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
