Marie Hixson

Marie M. Hixson, 78, Cadiz, died Thursday, August 28, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born November 22, 1924 in Madison, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late George and Marie Kessler Maughan. Marie was a housewife and a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz where she was a member of the Lisle Jones Circle. She was also a member of the Extension Group through the Harrison County Extension office. Marie was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by a brother George Maughan. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, W. Edmond Hixson of Cadiz; a son William Hixson and his wife Carolyn of Cadiz; 2 daughters: Barbara Cramblett of Lake Worth, Florida and Debbie Bartimus of New Rumley, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Friday, August 29, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
