Margaret I. Decker, 88, Cadiz, died Sunday at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. She was born December 16, 1914 in Clarington, Ohio a daughter of the late Benjamin Edward Smith and Christina Blanche Smith Smith. She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church, Cadiz where she was a member of the Lyle Jones Circle; Cadiz Business and Professinal Womens Club; Rural Womens Club; and a clerk at the former Co-Op Store, Cadiz. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by a son Roy in 1951, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by a son William A. Decker of Marysville; 3 daughters: Doris Campanelli of Cadiz, Molly Monroe of Columbus, and Linda K. Appledorn of Eaton, Ohio; a brother, Vance ''Cy'' Smith of New Rumley, Ohio; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Wednesday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial follows at Cadiz Union Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers that contributions may be made to Scott United Methodist Church, 817 East Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.
