Marga Else Christian, 58, of Cadiz, died Monday, April 12, 2004 at Sunset Health Care Center, Adena. She was born October 7, 1945 in Althutten, Germany, the only daughter of Else Sauter Semmelman, and the late Kurt Sauter. She was a former employee of Coffy's Bi-Lo Supermarket in Cadiz. She also worked as a waitress, and loved children, cooking and knitting. She enjoyed the mountains, the outdoors and liked to travel. When McDonald's Restaurant came to Germany, she was the first employee, because she was married to an American and could speak English. She worked there for ten years. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Frederick Christian in 1999. She met Milton in Germany, while he served in the military. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two sons, Ralf Sauter of Heilbroon, Germany and Jacob Christian of Cadiz, Ohio; four daughters, Brenda Franz, Manuela Sauter, Carmen Koevilein and Angela Spriegel; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Patrick Franz, Jeremy Sauter, and Marc Koevilein, all of Heilbroon, Germany; and three brothers, Heinz, Manfred and Roland Sauter. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church in Cadiz. Rev. D'Wain O. Wales will officiate.
