Louise Stukey

Louise Saffell Stukey, 95, of the Harrison County Home, Cadiz formerly of New Athens, Ohio died Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, Ohio. She was born June 29, 1915 in Lafferty, Ohio a daughter of the late John and Tacy Jeanette Gaston Pollock. She was a member of the New Athens Presbyterian Church, the Flushing Eastern Star where she served as past Worthy Matron, and the Barnesville Grange. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by both husbands: Raymond Edgar Saffell and Hartzell Stukey; a daughter in law, Inez Saffell; a son in law, Dallas S. Croft; a grandson, Matthew J. Nugo, a brother, Calvin Pollock, and infant brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son Gerald W. Saffell of Troy, Ohio; a daughter, Marilyn S. Croft of Dover, Ohio; 6 grandchildren: Michelle (Terry) Fox, Marianne Wright, Wayne (Julie) Croft, Jenny (Ken) Glassmeyer, Rebecca Karns, and Scott (Anita) Saffell; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren: step-children, Donald (Carol) Stukey of Barnesville and Wilda Warren of Shadyside. Calling hours will be held Monday, August 23, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert James officiating. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio. Eastern Star service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
