Linda Abel

Linda Ann Abel, 76, of Cadiz, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Sienna Hills Nursing Home in Adena, Ohio. She was born January 29, 1948 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Jerry and Stephanie “Stella” Dubietis Pecenka, Sr.

Linda was a member of the First Church of Christ in Cadiz, the Hopedale American Legion Auxiliary and Cadiz Eagles Auxiliary. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Michael Abel, Sr.; her sister, Mae Dilly; and 3 brothers: Richard, Robert and Jerry Pecenka, Jr. 

Surviving are her 2 daughters: Cindy Mutersbaugh of New Philadelphia and Stephanie (Jack) Billman of Minerva; a son, Michael (Ruriko) Abel, Jr. of Jewett; 8 grandchildren: Alexis Mutersbaugh of Kent and Kody Mutersbaugh of Dover, Ashley McIntyre, Keishi (Natalie) Arnold of the UK, Jasmine M. Arnold of Alliance, Destiny K. Arnold of Texas and Michael Ray Abel, III of Jewett;  and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1-4 at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Giffin officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, Ohio.
