Lillian Davis

Lillian Evelyn Davis, 100, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz, just two weeks before her 101st birthday. She was born June 16, 1914 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late William L. and Mabel Mallernee Davis. She was an employee of the former Scio Pottery Co., from which she retired after forty two years of service. She was a very giving person and enjoyed being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Donnie and Ernie Davis; and four sisters, Martha Taggart, Kathleen Stryiek, Bernice Davis, and Vera Copeland. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Guthrie and Phyllis Francis, both of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Dianna Guthrie, Greg (Rhonda) Guthrie, John (Mary) Francis, Jody (Jeff) Fletcher and James (Gina) Francis; seventeen great grandchildren: Adrean, Jacob, Brooke, Bethany, Matt, J. Michael, Joey, Jarrett, Jacob, Jennifer, Jason, Justin, Paul, Michael, James, Sabrina, and Nick; five great great grandchildren: Trevor, Coby, Cameron, Louis and Presley; and a brother, Robert Davis of Cadiz. Friends may call Monday, 5-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Baker officiating.
