Lillian Bahner

Lillian V. Bahner, 87, Cadiz, passed into heaven Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at UPMC, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born April 5, 1925 in Kenwood, a daughter of the late Elmer and Laura Barnhart Dowdle. Lil was very dedicated to her special needs son and was chosen as Mother of the Year at Apple Creek Development Center. She was employed for many years at Canton schools. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of Scott United Methodist Church in Cadiz. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband C. Kenneth Bahner ; a son Robert K. Bahner; and 2 brothers: Thomas and Franklin Dowdle. She is survived by 2 sisters: Midge (Jim) Talbott of Cadiz and Jean (Floyd) Stewart of Flushing; 2 brothers: Melvin/Tut (Lucille) Dowdle of Cadiz and James (Martha) Dowdle of Severna Park, Maryland; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 16 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Rev. Richard Hasley and Rev. Ashley Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.
