Larry Earl Newcomer, 70, of Cadiz, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home. He was born May 4, 1940 in Davis, WV, son of the late Earl LeRoy and Phyllis Marie Turney Newcomer. Larry was a parts clerk, having worked at the former Charles Henson Ford Agency in Cadiz, and in other automotive service agencies in Martins Ferry, Wheeling and Dover. He was a graduate of Cadiz High School and a Veteran of the Naval Reserves. He was the former director of the Ohio Valley Potomac Harmony Barbershop Chorus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Newcomer. Surviving are a daughter, Shannon (Scott) Winfield of Columbus; two sisters, Patricia Newcomer of Arlington, VA and Beverly Clark of Las Vegas, NV; a niece, nephew, grand niece and grand nephew.
