Kenneth Abel

Kenneth Everett Abel, 56, of New Athens, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center, West in Steubenville. He was born December 17, 1954 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Cloyd Ellis and Edith Pauline Parrish Abel. Kenny was a faithful member of the House of the Shepherd in New Athens. He collected toys and donated many toys to the Salvation Army and to the Richmond, OH Santa Claus. Surviving are two sisters, Anna Louise Toole and Wilda Jean (Pete) Tuchek; a brother Eugene (Janice) Abel, all of New Athens and a number of nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call at The House of the Shepherd, New Athens on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 and Tuesday, 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Pete Tuchek will officiate. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens. Arrangements are by Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Memorial contributions may be made to The House of the Shepherd, P.O.
