June Bland

June C. Bland, 71, Cadiz, formerly of Virginia Beach, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born April 8, 1939 in Providence, Rhode Island a daughter of the late Edward L. and Ruth Elaine O'Keefe Dorr. She was a medical assistant in the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; by her husband, James B. Bland in 2008; and 2 stepsons: John Rankin Simpson and James Russell Bland. She is survived by a brother, William Dunn of St. Clairsville; a sister, Marilyn Tucker of Virginia Beach; step daughter, Jeane Short of Conroe, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Shariss, Zachary, Thaddeaus, Matthew, and Seandahl; several great grandchildren; 2 brothers-in-law: Ronald Bland of Cadiz and Bill Cannon of Senecaville; 2 sisters-in-law: Charmaine Greer of Cadiz and Betty Jean Bland of New Athens; and her special companion, Shar-lee. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 19, 5-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating.
