John T. Riley, 92, Flushing, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Park Health Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was born July 8, 1918 in St. Clairsville, Ohio a son of the late Harry W. and Mary L. Rinker Riley. He was a member of the Flushing United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WW II as a Warrant Officer in the Pacific Theater and a retired mechanic for Consolidation Coal Company. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his first wife Emma Saki Riley; a son John Edward Riley; and 3 brothers: Jim, Glen and Alfred Riley. He is survived by his wife Leah Pearch Ballog Riley; a daughter, Kitty (Jim) Ferda of Flushing; 2 sons: Tom (Dee) Ballog of Jerusalem and William Riley; a daughter-in-law, Jane Riley of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Riley of North Carolina and a sister, Sarah Gunter of Hubbard, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June1 from 4-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Al Hoder officiating.
