John Moore

John Charles "Jack" Moore, 65, of Georgetown, Ohio, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV. He was born June 27, 1950 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late John Duncan and June Ann Coyle Moore. Jack was a retired Coal Miner from the Y. & O. Coal Company Nelms #1 Mine. He was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, the Adena Sons of the American Legion and the Adena Lions Club, PAP Club and Moose in Wheeling. He was a former President of the Wheeling Nailers Booster Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Bomboris Moore and a sister, Linda Lou Glover. Surviving are two sons, Andy Moore (Cassie) and Ben Bomboris; two grandchildren, Lane and Bryleigh; a brother, Jerry Ray Moore (Jo Ellen); a sister, Tammie Lee Bumbico (Richard); a sister-in-law, Teresa Ferri (Ron), all of Georgetown; mother-in-law, Kate Bomboris of Adena; two brothers-in-law, George Bomboris of Adena and Tony Bomboris (Brenda) of Colliers, WV; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Corky. As per Jack's wishes, his body has been donated to the Ohio University, College of Medicine. A memorial service will be held on a future date to be announced.
