John Mcbeth

John E. McBeth, 68, New Athens, died Wednesday, April 28, 2011 at Emerald Pointe in Barnesville, Ohio. He was born July 5, 1942 in Laurel, Mississippi a son of the late John C. and Katie Jones McBeth. He was a former employee of B&O Railroad in New Martinsville and a Presbyterian by faith. He served three tours of duty in the US Army and was a member of the VFW in St. Clairsville, Ohio. He is survived by a son, John (Wendy) McBeth of Belmont; a brother, James (Bonnie) McBeth of New Athens; a sister, Barbara (Andrew) Cencula of New Athens; and his companion, Sammy his Yorkshire Terrier. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Rev. Pete Tuchek, Jr. officiating. Calling hours are one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Longview Cemetery, New Athens at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Museum, c/o Anna Belle Watson, P.O.
