John Morgan Knight, 79, Cadiz, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at his home. John was born June 21, 1929 in Nottingham Township, Harrison County, Ohio a son of the late Omen Wesley Knight and Hettie Anna Winn Knight Tongret. John was a farmer, owner/operator steel hauler, a member of Harrison County Farm Bureau, former Nottingham Township Trustee, a fan of Bluegrass Music and a Army Veteran having served during the Korean conflict.. John was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his wife Faith Wallace Knight in 1993; a son John Max Knight in 1957; 3 brothers: Leeland, Clyde, and Martin Knight; and a sister, Rose Chisler. John is survived by 3 sons: Bradley, Jeffery and his wife Debra, and Anthony and his wife Mary all of Cadiz; 2 daughters: Devanie Gladman and her husband Lee of Uhrichsville and Stephanie Bugaj and her husband Walter of Wheeling; 16 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; friend, Mary Ann Riggs of Freeport; and a brother, Donald Knight of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Calling hours will be held Sunday, January 4, 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Douglas Mallernee officiating.
