John "Wayne" Dagan, Sr., 66, of Adena, died Friday at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born March 8, 1946 in Adena, a son of the late Gus and Flora Nation Dagan. Wayne enjoyed a simple life as a self employed auto man. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Viet Nam Era and a member of the Dillonvale American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Morgan Dagan in April of this year and two brothers, James and Harold Dagan. Surviving are a daughter, Darla (Bud) Monteleone of Adena; three sons, John (Dawn) Dagan, Jr. of Perrysville, Gus (Renee) Dagan of Cadiz and John Patrick (Rena') Logsdon of Enterprise, AL; a brother, Jack Dagan of Martins Ferry; a sister, Ruth (Bill) Verhovec of Rayland; a special nephew, Keith (Melissa) Dagan of Adena; eleven grandchildren, Zachary Monteleone, John Dagan, III, Jarrett Dagan, Bridget Dagan, Wayne Dagan, Ayla Dagan, Sam Logsdon, Michael Logsdon, Caleb Logsdon, Jarrett Logsdon, and Jessica Gabrielson. Friends may call in memory of Wayne and Darlene Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Military honors will be by the Cadiz American Legion at the funeral home following the memorial service.
