John Baumgardner

John Edison "Big John" Baumgardner, 85, of Cadiz, formerly of Dennison, died Wednesday at his home. He was born August 21, 1930 in Londonderry, OH, a son of the late Marion Dewey and Laurel Opal Hardy Baumgardner. John was a retired laborer at Superior Clay Works in Uhrichsville and a Pentecostal by faith. He attended Boot Camp for the US Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Lee Baumgardner. Surviving are a son Thomas Baumgardner of New Philadelphia; two daughters, Sherry Ann Mullett of Newcomerstown and Patricia Marie Mayle of Strasburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Gene Baumgardner of Newcomerstown; three sisters, Magratha Zimmerman, Glendean Toole and Dori Lippencott, all of Uhrichsville; and his longtime lady friend, Tina Coulson of Cadiz.
