John Ash

John Michael Ash, 72 of Cadiz, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at his home. He was born November 5, 1939 in East Canton, Ohio a son of the late Charles and Lillian Schimmel Ash. John attended Bethel United Methodist Church near Jewett, a member of the Hopedale American Legion and he umpired local ball games for a number of years. He worked at the former Y & O Coal Company and IMCO in Uhrichsville, Ohio. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by 2 brothers: Edward and Paul Ash and 2 sisters: Virginia Magyar and Lillian Ash. John is survived by his daughter, LeeAnne Ash of Cadiz; a sister, Lois (James) Medley of Cadiz and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 11 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Pastor John Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Hopedale American Legion. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com.
