Jean Vale

Jean N. Vale, 79, Jewett, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born August 21, 1927 in Archer Twp., Harrison County, a daughter of the late Oscar Wilhelm and Nellie Mae Gritman Norquest. She was a member of the Ridge Presbyterian Church, Harrison County Board of Elections, and the Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; by her husband, Robert Dean Vale on May 8, 1972; an infant daughter, Marie Vale; 4 brothers: Lester, Harold, Paul, and Earl Norquest; 5 sisters: Helen Dodds, Eleanor Llewellen, Dorothy Hall, Margaret Cole, and Thelma Vale. She is survived by a daughter, Bette Anne Abel of Jewett; 2 sons: Ivan O. Vale and his wife Karen of Jewett and Guy W. Vale and his wife Annette of Deersville; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a brother Wayne Norquest of Florida. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 12, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Visser officiating.
